Zimbabwe recall Ndlovu
Zimbabwe have recalled former captain Peter Ndlovu for their Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi next month.
Coach Charles Mhlauri included the experienced striker in his 29-man provisional squad which is expected to be captained by Benjani Mwaruwari.
Ndlovu, who plays for South African champions Sundowns, ended his international career after the 2006 Nations Cup in Egypt last January.
Mhlauri says Ndlovu has assured him of his return if invited.
\"This was a decision taken without much consultation,\" Mhlauri said.
\"I have since spoken to Peter about it and he is still willing to play for his beloved Warriors.
\"I was in South Africa last week for talks with him and he said he is still keen to play for the country.
Defender George Mbwando, who also retired after the Nations Cup in Egypt, has also been recalled for the 7 October game.
Poland-based Dickson Choto, who missed the Nations Cup due to injury, has been recalled, but midfielder Ronald Sibanda was dropped because of lack of form.
Zimbabwe are in the same group with Malawi and Morocco who played in the opening round of the qualifiers.
