Cup shambles inspired us - Slade Yeovil boss Russell Slade said the only motivation needed to beat Shrewsbury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy was the Carling Cup defeat against Hereford.
The Glovers were smashed 4-1 by the Bulls last month and Slade said there was no way he wanted a repeat.
"My team-talk was 'Hereford'," Slade said. "They knew what I meant.
"I am delighted to go through. I know some people don't see it as the greatest competition in the world but it leads to a Wembley final."

Owusu hopes win will spark a run Yeovil striker Lloyd Owusu is hoping Sunday's victory over Swindon, in which he scored the only goal of the game, can ignite his side's season.
"It has been a good start but we have to keep the momentum going," Owusu told the Western Daily Press.
"We ca not be complacent now. We have to work hard and prepare right and make sure we are 100% for every game.
"Goals are what I am there for but the main thing was we got the three points with a good professional performance."

Everton teenager has Yeovil trial Yeovil Town are giving Everton's teenage forward Scott Spencer a trial over the next few days.
Spencer joined Everton from Oldham Athletic in summer 2006 after scoring over 20 goals in the 2005/06 season for Oldham's Academy side.
The 18-year-old described by some as the next Wayne Rooney is yet to make his Everton debut.
Yeovil boss Russell Slade could opt to hang on to the player if he impresses on trial at the Huish Park Club.

Slade signs new Yeovil contract Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has committed himself to the club until the summer of 2011 after signing a two-year extension to his contract.
The 47-year-old guided the Glovers to the League One play-offs last season and is keen to take them up a tier.
"I am an ambitious manager and this is an ambitious club," said Slade.
"I am determined to help get this club into the Championship and trust that all our supporters will get behind us as we strive to make that a reality".
Slade has been at Huish Park since June 2006 and his commitment to the club has delighted chairman John Fry.
"This gives us the continuity we are looking for on our footballing side and I'm very pleased Russell has committed himself in this way," said Fry.
"It will enable us to build for the future both on and off the field."
Yeovil are 15th in League Two having won just one of their last six league games.

"We are pleased as we approach the Christmas programme that we are in a position where we can maybe threaten those top six places."

Jones heads for Yeovil loan exit Yeovil will not extend the terms of the loan agreement for Ritchie Jones.
The Manchester United midfielder's spell at Huish Park is set to finish at the end of the year and manager Russell Slade will let the 21-year-old go.
"I'm sure he'll be disappointed he has not played more. He got a run at the start of the season but didn't quite nail down a place," said Slade.
Jones, who spent time on loan at Barnsley and Colchester last season, has featured in 11 Glovers games.
But while Jones is heading for the exit, Slade is keen to extend the stays of his four other loanees - Lee Peltier, Zoltan Stieber, James Walker and Darren Way.
Peltier's loan is set to end on 31 December, but Steiber, Walker and Way are on the books until New Year's Day and will be allowed to play against Luton on 1 January.

Yeovil bid to bring back Peltier Young midfielder Lee Peltier has returned to Liverpool after his loan spell at Yeovil expired.
But Glovers manager Russell Slade has confirmed to the club's website that Yeovil are already in talks to bring Peltier back to Somerset.
The 21-year-old, who can also play in defence, joined the Glovers on loan in the summer and started 21 games for the club, including 19 league matches.
Peltier made four starts for Liverpool last season, but none in the league.
And Slade told SSB he is hopeful of signing Peltier's fellow loan players James Walker and Darren Way to an extended stay at Huish Park.

Yeovil's Warne out for the season Yeovil Town midfielder Paul Warne will play no further part in the Glovers' season after being diagnosed with a broken foot.
"It needs pinning. He probably did it before the Millwall game, he probably did it on Saturday," Yeovil manager Russell Slade told SSB.
"We thought we'd better have a look at it and he's going to require surgery this week," Slade added.
The 34-year-old's contract at Huish Park expires in the summer.

Slade let down by certain players Yeovil manager Russell Slade felt some of his players let themselves down in Monday's 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool.
Nearly 150 fans braved the long journey to witness Yeovil fail to build on their victory against Doncaster.
"Players need to be performing to be honest for their own sake, for their own careers, for their own interest," Slade told SSB.
"There are one or two that are lacking a bit of consistency. There were one or two who let themselves down."

Owusu relieved after injury fears Yeovil striker Lloyd Owusu has revealed his relief after doctors confirmed that the leg injury he sustained against Crewe on Saturday is not a fracture.
The 31-year-old will now have to wait for the swelling to die down to find out the full extent of the injury.
He told the club website: "I had X-rays and scans and there is no break, which is good news."
The Ghana international is awaiting further treatment and so far has been unable to set a date for his return.
Owusu left the field on a stretcher towards the end of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Crewe, but Yeovil manager Russell Slade named him as one of the few players to win his approval.
"I thought Lloyd had put a shift in and won a remarkable amount of headers in the first period," said Slade after the match.

Emotional Slade blasts doubters Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade hit back at a small section of the Glovers home support after his team won 2-1 at Swansea to secure League One survival.
"I got dogs' abuse at last week's home game," he told SSB. "I was lambasted. I don't get that from the away fans, who have been magnificent.
"I don't get that from all the home fans, but some of them have been a disgrace and were shouting 'get out'.
"I've kept us up with two games to go against a very good side."
Slade has come in for criticism during the past few months as his team slipped from being play-off contenders in January to relegation battlers in April and was determined to set the record straight after securing another season in League One by beating the champions at their own ground.
"We've got to rebuild but we've had problems this year, problems that half the people don't understand that I have as a manager, but I've dealt with them. I've come through it, I've remained positive despite what people think," said Slade.
"People don't think I'm passionate sometimes. That's because I'm a thinker of the game but I am passionate. I'm passionate with my players, I want to win big games, I can show you that I've won big games.
"I've won big games, and it sickens me that people think that I'm not capable when I've been to Wembley, I've been to the Millennium Stadium and I've been to the new Wembley in my managerial career.
"It annoys me and frustrates me that people don't pull in the right direction - I don't need those people that don't want to pull in the right direction."
But the Glovers boss was keen to stress that his comments were not directed at the Yeovil support as a whole, and was quick to praise the travelling fans, who had applauded his team off the pitch.
"They've always been brilliant and I can't give them high enough praise, they have to go further distances than anybody in the country and I am so thankful for all the supporters who are behind me and are behind the club," he added.
"I will stay here and build them a club to be proud of, that's for sure."

Yeovil manager hit with FA charge Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association.
He was charged in the wake of comments made following the 2-1 defeat against Southend United on 4 October.
Yeovil had Danny Schofield and Gary Roberts sent off but Schofield had his red card rescinded after an appeal.
Slade said after the game: "The referee had a bad day at the office. I asked him to look at the video and he said he didn't need to. That was arrogant."
