Wolves striker Kenny Miller says he would consider coming off the transfer list at Molineux. The 25-year-old Scotland international asked for a move last season after a bust-up with former boss Dave Jones. But the ex-Rangers forward has been a regular starter under new manager Glenn Hoddle, grabbing 19 goals. Miller, whose current contract expires at the end of next season, said: "If the club want to sit down and talk then I'll listen."

Hoddle close to signing new deal
Wolves expect to finalise a contract extension for manager Glenn Hoddle early next week. With Hoddle's current deal due to expire this summer, the former England coach has been holding talks with the club over the last fortnight. "We would like him to be our manager and we think he wants to be with us," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the BBC's Sportsweek programme. "I'm meeting Glenn early next week. We are very close to finalising matters." Wolves have suffered just one Championship defeat since Hoddle succeeded Dave Jones as boss in December, though the club's promotion chances have been scuppered by 15 drawn games under the former England coach. At the end of April, Hoddle suggested he was keen to stay at Molineux. "There's no doubting the ambition. You only have to look at the money spent." Wolves president Sir Jack Hayward has made no secret of his desire to keep Hoddle at the helm. "I want to persuade him that his future should be with us," he said. "Glenn has done an excellent job for us. I am sure that he is the man who can take us back to the Premiership. "That is why I want him to stay and that is what I have told him."

Hoddle signs new Wolves contract
Glenn Hoddle has targeted promotion to the Premiership after signing a new one-year rolling contract with Wolves. Hoddle, 47, joined the club in December 2004 when he replaced Dave Jones and he has lifted the team from 17th place to finish ninth this season. "We now have to plan an assault on trying to win promotion," he said. "It's a big challenge but one I feel everyone here can achieve. "It's putting pressure on ourselves but it's realistic pressure." He added: "The players have to take that on board and relish it." Wolves have suffered only one defeat in the Championship since Hoddle took charge but the play-offs proved out of reach as they have drawn 15 games. The club ended the season unbeaten in their last 18 matches and have impressed with the type of football they have started playing under Hoddle, whose original six-month deal ran out this summer. "There will be a few additions, albeit on the scouting or medical side," said Hoddle, who seemed to play down speculation John Gorman, Glenn Roeder or Graham Rix would be joining as his assistant by saying there would be no departures. "I just needed to know the ambition was there - and it is. There's some finance available but not multi millions. "It's a big club and still has a nice family feel about it, which has been important." Hoddle was sacked by Tottenham in September 2003 after his tenure at his former club turned sour. He joined Spurs after an acrimonious split from Southampton, who will be rivals to Wolves next season after the south-coast club were relegated from the Premiership on Sunday. "We're delighted to keep Glenn here," said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey," who hinted a deal to extend Paul Ince's spell at the club may be close. "This means we won't have to talk about our commitment to each other and hopefully he will be here for a long time. "It has been very amicable and the fact it has been done quickly means we can now go into overdrive with player contracts. There could be at least one announcement in that area this week."

Murray signs new Wolves contract
Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray has signed a new three-year contract with the Championship side. The 24-year-old has made only one league appearance this season and has been dogged by injury. "It has been a very frustrating couple of seasons for me, as you can imagine," he told the Stellar Group website. "But I'm a determined character and know with the manager we have now and the set-up here, we have a great chance to get back into the top flight." He added: "Once I knew Glenn Hoddle was staying here it was an easy decision to make. "The club have shown faith in me and I now intend to repay that by getting back to full fitness and playing a full part in a successful campaign next season. "My goal is to come back fitter, stronger and sharper than I have ever been - I am ready to show people just how good I can be."

Wolves end interest in Bischoff
Manchester City defender Mikkel Bischoff will not be moving to Wolves - where he has had two loan spells during the 2004/05 season. The former Copenhagen player, 23, made 11 league appearances during his time at Molineux, scoring once. "We have decided not to take up the option available to us as part of the loan agreement to buy Mikkel," boss Glenn Hoddle told Wolves' website. But Hoddle is set to hold talks with Tottenham midfielder Rohan Ricketts. Ricketts, 22, who also spent time on loan at Wolves last season, has not been offered a new deal by Spurs boss Martin Jol.

Oakes extends stint with Wolves
Wolves goalkeeper Michael Oakes has signed a two-year contract. Oakes - the current first choice - played 38 games last season and was glad to have resolved his future before his contract expired in the summer. "I'm delighted the contract is sorted and I can look forward to next season," Oakes, 31, told the club's website. "Glenn Hoddle got us going in the right direction. He's been a big influence and made sure we are setting our sights on automatic promotion." But the former Aston Villa goalkeeper is also aware he faces stiff competition from Matt Murray, who has also just signed a new deal. "It's been good week for the goalkeeping fraternity with Matt having signed as well," he said. "We have a good combination with my experience and Matt being a good young keeper. It should provide some great competition for the number one spot."

Ricketts agrees switch to Wolves
Rohan Ricketts has agreed to join Wolves when his contract with Tottenham ends at the beginning of July. The 22-year-old, who spent the end of last season on loan at Molineux, was released by Spurs last week but remains registered with them until 30 June. Ricketts will sign a two-year contract with Wolves, who will have the option of keeping him for a further year. Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle said: "He is young, has lots of ability and is one for the future." He added: "Rohan impressed during his loan spell here and once it was announced that he would soon be a free agent then we were keen to begin talks with him about a permanent deal. "We are all looking forward to seeing more from him. "A player of his age will improve and he is a good buy for us now and for the years to come."

Hull swoop for Wolves midfielder
Hull manager Peter Taylor has swooped to sign Wolves midfielder Keith Andrews on a two-year contract. The 24-year-old was offered a new deal to stay at Molineux but has turned that down to join the Tigers as they prepare for life in the Championship. "I'm delighted, he'll be an important player. He's a strong, good passing midfield player who uses his voice well on the pitch," Taylor said. "He has good experience at Championship level," Taylor told the Hull website. "I understand that it will be difficult for him to leave Wolves as it is such a big club. But we're looking forward to having him here."

Wolves confident Ince will stay
Wolves are confident that veteran midfielder Paul Ince will sign a new contract at Molineux. His current deal ends in the summer and the former England international, 37, is keen to extend his time at the club. Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's website: "Negotiations with Paul are continuing and everything appears to be going smoothly. "Paul has given us every indication that he is planning to conclude a deal with us."

Wolves turn down bid for Miller
Wolves have rejected an undisclosed seven-figure offer from Sunderland for 25-year-old striker Kenny Miller. Sunderland, who are also chasing Waterford forward Daryl Murphy, have been told their valuation is short. Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "We've been very pleased with Kenny's efforts over the past season, he worked hard and scored 20 goals. "The cost of finding a 20-goal replacement would be far greater than what Sunderland have offered." Moxey added: "Furthermore, the cost to any Premier League club trying to buy a striker of Kenny's age, experience, international status and goalscoring abilities would be greater than what is now on the table. "The manager's had meetings with Kenny, and the player has indicated he wishes to stay on the transfer list. "We're aware he'll be out of contract next summer but unless we receive an acceptable offer, one that would enable us to buy a suitable replacement, we would prefer to keep him here and see him score goals for us next season. "If he does that and helps us win promotion and becomes a Bosman player at the end of the season, then as far as I am concerned, that is better than accepting a cheap sum now." Miller went on the transfer list after falling out with former Wolves boss Dave Jones. He was a regular started under Glenn Hoddle last season and had suggested he was prepared to hold talks with the club about coming off the list. Newly-promoted Sunderland have already agreed a fee for Blackburn striker Jon Stead, who is expected to have talks with Black Cats boss Mick McCarthy. But with McCarthy releasing last season's top scorer Marcus Stewart and allowing Michael Bridges to leave on a free transfer he is in the market for strikers. Youngsters Stephen Elliott and Chris Brown impressed last season but have little Premiership experience, while Scotland forward Kevin Kyle has been dogged by a serious hip injury.

Silas agrees Belenenses loan move
Wolves have allowed midfielder Silas to go on a season-long loan at Portuguese top-flight side Belenenses. Silas, who joined Wolves in July 2003 and has struggled to break into the first team, spent last season on loan in his native Portugal with Maritimo. Wolves chief Jez Moxey told the club's website: "Belenenses will pay his wages and as part of the deal we've an option to extend his contract by a year. "This gives us the potential to get a transfer fee for him or take him back."

Wolves reject second Miller bid
Wolves have confirmed they have turned down a second bid from Sunderland for Scotland striker Kenny Miller. Wolves rejected an initial bid from the Premiership new boys for 25-year-old Miller last week and say a slightly improved bid has also been snubbed. "We received a second offer but it fell short of our valuation of the player and we told Sunderland this," chief executive Jez Moxey told their website. "Unless we get a suitable bid we want Kenny to play for us next term." Miller went on the transfer list after falling out with former Wolves boss Dave Jones. He was a regular started under Glenn Hoddle last season and had suggested he was prepared to hold talks with the club about coming off the list. Sunderland have already agreed a fee for Blackburn striker Jon Stead, who is expected to have talks with Black Cats boss Mick McCarthy.

Ince signs new deal with Wolves
Veteran midfielder Paul Ince has signed a new one-year contract with Wolves. The former England international, 37, moved to Molineux in the summer 2002 and has played 112 games for the club, scoring nine goals. Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle said: "I'm delighted Paul has put pen to paper. He proved to me over the last year he still has a lot to offer to the club. "He gets other players to respond and it was important we kept him. I am over the moon we secured his signature." Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey added: "Myself and Glenn were keen to see Paul re-sign. He still has a big impact here. "This latest contract is a testament to the way he has looked after himself."

Striker Ndah pens new Wolves deal
Wolves striker George Ndah has signed a new one-year contract. The 30-year-old who has been plagued by several injuries has been given a performance-related deal similar to the terms he was on previously. Ndah told the club website: "I am delighted to have put pen to paper after an uncertain few weeks. "I haven't played a lot of football in the last six years I have been here, but once Wolves said they wanted me to stay there was no decision to make."

Wolves hit back over Camara claim
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has hit back at claims made by striker Henri Camara's agent Willie McKay. McKay was quoted as saying that the 28-year-old Senegal international was being "priced out of a move" as Wolves had put a £5m asking price on him. But Moxey told his club's website: "It is not club policy to put transfer values on the heads of players. "If a player is for sale, then we invite offers and then assess those that come in." Camara joined Wolves for £1.5m from Sedan, but spent the whole of last season out on loan at Celtic and Southampton. He still has two years remaining on his contract at Molineux.
