WALTON NEARING HOOPS BOW
QPR are hoping summer signing Simon Walton could be available to make his long-awaited debut before Christmas as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.
The midfielder joined Rangers from Charlton in July, but suffered a fractured fibula during a pre-season friendly against Fulham.
"He's doing his pre-season runs and is progressing nicely," said physio Paul Hunter.
"The fracture has fully healed and he's now undergoing extensive fitness work. We're pushing him as hard as we can and if we can get him back before Christmas it will be a huge boost for both the player and the club."
