Walcott retains U21 squad place
Arsenal's Theo Walcott has kept his place in the England U21 squad to play Switzerland on 6 September, ruling out a return to the senior squad. The 17-year-old, who scored on his U21 debut against Moldova last time out and has impressed in his first appearances for Arsenal. Watford winger Ashley Young has also been named in the 24-man squad. England must win the match in Lucerne to reach the play-offs for qualification for next year's finals. Coach Peter Taylor warned that his team would face a tough game in Switzerland. \"They have produced some very strong teams in recent years and we know we'll have to play better than we did at Ipswich,\" he said. \"However, there is every reason to be positive.
