Waddock backing Rangers starlets
QPR boss Gary Waddock has backed the club's youngster to follow Ray Jones into the England Under-19 squad.
The striker, who has forced his way into the Rangers starting line-up this term, played the final 13 minutes of the Under-19s' goalless draw with Holland on Tuesday, and Waddock believes the 18-year-old could soon be joined in the squad by some of his club colleagues.
Scott Donnelly, Stefan Bailey and Shabazz Baidoo have all broken from the youth ranks into the first-team squad, as have defenders Andrew Howell and Pat Kanyuka.
\"I see no reason why one or two more of the youngsters can't make the step into the Under-19s,\" Waddock said. \"We have a good batch here, and hopefully we can mould them into better players.
\"Ray's inclusion was fantastic for him and a real boost for the club. It has been a remarkable start to the season for him.
\"But he has his feet firmly on the ground and is taking everything in his stride.\"
