Uganda to play Sudan in semis
Sudan edged past Burundi 1-0 while Uganda beat Malawi 4-2 on penalties in the quarter-finals of East Africa's Cecafa Cup in Ethiopia.
Uganda and Malawi could not be separated by 120 minutes of football as their game ended goalless after extra time.
Richard Malinga, Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Danny Wangaluka and Massa Simeon were all then successful with their spot kicks with only Johnson Bangule missing for Uganda.
Only Ivis Kafoteka and Foster Namwera converted their penalties for Malawi as Moses Chavola and Heston Montale both missed theirs.
Sudan and Burundi also went into extra-time after a goalless draw after 90 minutes.
The match-winner eventually came in the fourth minute of extra time with Ritsard Jaftine scoring from the penalty spot.
Uganda and Sudan will now meet in the semi-finals on Friday.
