TV row threatens to delay Serie B
The start of Italian football's Serie B season could be delayed after the majority of clubs failed to agree new television rights deals.
Serie B is scheduled to kick off on Friday, with the main round of matches following on Saturday.
Only Juventus and Genoa have reached agreements for the screening of their home games.
Italian Football League president Antonio Matarrese says the offers to the other 20 clubs are not high enough.
Offers from the likes of state broadcaster RAI, Silvio Berlusconi's Mediaset corporation and satellite broadcaster SKY Italia have been dismissed.
\"If we reach an agreement that pleases both parties, Serie B will start - otherwise there will be a delay,\" Matarrese told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
\"Everything is on the table. We expect to be treated seriously, not taken for a ride. Offers should reflect the true value of Serie B.\"
As a result of the legal battles arising from Italian football's match-fixing scandal, the start of Serie A has already been delayed by two weeks.
