The Bullspit about Figo ends here
Luis Figo has poured cold water on reports linking him with a move to Queens Park Rangers. The Portuguese wing wizard is no longer a regular starter for Inter and his days in Milan could well be numbered. He has been linked with big-money moves to Qatar and United States, but recent reports have suggested he could be lured to Loftus Road by R’s owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore. The rumours were fuelled by Figo’s arrival in London, but his trip is due to his ambassadorial role for the Stop TB Charity and he was in the dark about rumours linking him with Rangers. “It is a surprise for me, I don’t know what to say,” Figo said on Setanta Sports News. “There is nothing real, so there is nothing to say.” Figo also laughed off reports which suggested he had purchased a home in the English capital. He added: “I would like to, it is a good investment, but it is not true.”

Lying supporters and media
Inter Milan's Luis Figo has spoken for the first time on his proposed move to Loftus Road for the very first time... Portuguese international star Luis Figo has spoken for the very first time on his proposed move to Queens Park Rangers after speculation surfaced across certain media sources about his future. According to some national outputs, Flavio Briartore has allegedly been in discussion with the Inter Milan star and the new Queens Park Rangers owners are keen to land the 35 year old in time for next season's campaign. Now, in his first public statement on the speculation, Figo insisted - "Why the hell would I want to go to a second rate team like QPR..? they are facing probable relegation and even at 35 Im better than that!!...they may be rich but Im not that desperate..I will probably retire soon anyway." Papers need to sell papers, sports departments need to generate sports stories, but perhaps on this occassion - before we are all so quick scoff at such suggestions - the old adage 'no smoke without fire' needs bearing in mind... especially in the little minded lying supporters of England.
