Striker rejects rivals for Deepdale
Paul Gallacher says he is glad he chose to join Preston over rival Championship clubs Stoke, Hull City and QPR.
The persuasive powers of Paul Simpson and the promise of the chance of a regular start up front were among the reasons why the 23-year-old Scot chose Deepdale.
The Lilywhites signed Gallagher on loan until January and, while Stoke boss Tony Pulis wanted to use him on the left wing, Simpson gave him his debut up front against Coventry last weekend.
He said: "Stoke wanted to take me back there and there was also interest from Hull and QPR but I chose Preston because it is a good move for my career and me personally.
"Deepdale is a great place to play football and it is ideal for me to stay in the area because my girl is at primary school locally."
