Star set for R's talks
Ray Jones is set for further talks with QPR in the near future as the player and the club try to thrash out a new contract. The 18-year-old has been catching the eye of several Premiership clubs this season after banging in six goals for the club to date, leading to mounting speculation that he could be set to move on this month. Jones has made it clear though that he is happy to stay at Loftus Road and despite failing to agree a new deal, further talks will take place soon over the player's future. Speaking to Sky Sports, Jones' agent Tony McGill revealed: "I am due to meet QPR soon to discuss Ray's situation. "Talks are ongoing and QPR have made an offer to extend his contract." McGill added: "Neither myself or Ray have said that he wants to leave QPR as has been suggested. "Ray is happy at the club and hopefully something can be done regarding his contract. For Ray his first choice is to stay at QPR if the deal is suitable to him."
