Sousa has urged his players to be more aggressive
QPR boss Paulo Sousa has urged his players to be more aggressive in front of goal on their travels following Tuesday`s defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
Sousa tasted defeat for the first time since taking charge as Leon Clarke`s 75th-minute goal earned Wednesday a 1-0 victory. But he refused to condemn his shot-shy strikers after yet another shut-out.
Sousa said: "I am not worried because I am a positive person and I believe my players can pass this moment and get the confidence to score."
He added: "I would be much more worried if we were not creating opportunities but we need to be more aggressive in front of goal. We must believe more in front of goal."
Martin Rowlands` penalty miss summed up Rangers` problems but Sousa was quick to defend the midfielder. He added: "Of course it was a great opportunity for him to score but I have every confidence in him and Martin will bounce back."
