Skipper Bircham 'still on list'
QPR midfielder Marc Bircham believes he is still on the transfer list - despite being made captain by new boss John Gregory.
The 28-year-old was told he was available for transfer at the end of last season by former manager Gary Waddock, but skippered the side for Gregory's first match in charge, a 2-0 win over Hull last Saturday.
\"I must be one of the few players to be captain and on the transfer list at the same time but I haven't been told otherwise, so I suppose I still am,\" Bircham told the Wembley and Kingsbury Times.
\"You'd have to ask the powers that be, but to all intents and purposes, I think I still am on the list.\"

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Marc Bircham has come off the transfer list at his own request.
The 27-year-old joined the Loftus Road club on a free transfer from Millwall in July 2002.
Bircham told the club website: \"I'm really pleased. The last few months have been a bit up and down for me, but this is a huge pick-me-up.
\"I've always stated that I didn't want to leave. I'm happy with my form but there is still a lot more to come.\"
