Simon Walton The Road Back
Rangers midfielder, Simon Walton is recovering well from his broken leg and hopes to be back in action towards the end of November, according to an article in the Selby Times.
The 19-year-old midfielder suffered a broken leg in the pre-season friendly win against Fulham in August - just weeks after sealing his £200,000 move across London from Charlton Athletic and impressing the R's faithful in the pre season friendlies.
Simon's surgery to repair his fractured fibia has been very successful and his protective cast has now been removed as his rehablitation continues.
Simon's Dad told the Selby Times;
"He's itching to get back out onto the field. There's no problem with the leg although the wound itself has taken a bit longer to heal, which set him back a bit.
It's extremely frustrating for Simon, but he's a strong character and never lets his head go down. It's a long road to recovery, but if all goes to plan, he should be back at some stage during November."
