Scunthorpe want Youga for longer Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins hopes to keep on-loan Charlton defender Kelly Youga beyond January.

"I'm very hopeful that we'll be able to keep Kelly at least until the end of this season," he said.
Youga is currently sitting out a suspension after being sent off twice within a week.

Iron accept Clarets' Paterson bid Burnley have had a club record bid for Northern Ireland striker Martin Paterson accepted by Scunthorpe.
Paterson, 21, will now discuss personal terms on a move which will earn the Iron £1m initially, with a further £300,000 depending on appearances.
Scunthorpe had previously rejected two bids for Paterson from the Clarets, and turned down a written transfer request.
"Martin was always a target of ours," Burnley manager Owen Coyle told the Championship club's website.
"Any fee is subject to discussing terms with Martin and his representative."
If the move goes ahead, Scunthorpe will also receive 20% of any future profit Burnley make on the player.
Paterson joined Scunthorpe from Stoke last summer, and scored 13 league goals in 40 appearances as the Iron were relegated to League One.
The Clarets' previous record transfer fee was £1m, which they paid for Robbie Blake in 2002 and Ian Moore in 2000.

Surgery ruled out for Iriekpen Scunthorpe United captain Izzy Iriekpen remains a major doubt for Saturday's game at Cheltenham but will not require groin surgery.
Iron manager Nigel Adkins says the 26-year-old defender does not need to go under the surgeons knife but will have treatment on a daily basis.
Adkins told Radio Humberside; "It's a muscular injury and we need to make sure we strengthen it sufficiently.
"We'll reassess it and monitor him and go from there with him."
Iriekpen powered in a far-post header from 12 yards for the Iron's third goal in a 3-0 win over Crewe at Glanford Park on Saturday but has been playing in discomfort for a few weeks now.

Scunthorpe expect record profits Scunthorpe United are expected to announce record profits within two weeks in the wake of the transfers of Billy Sharp and Martin Paterson.
Iron chairman Steve Wharton told BBC Radio Humberside: "The results this year will be fantastic and our accounts will look extremely healthy.
"If anything we'll be criticised for having too good a balance sheet but that because of both transfers."
Scunthorpe are currently top of the League One table.
They are unbeaten in their last 13 games after being relegated from the Championship last May.
In the last two seasons they sold a trio of strikers to higher division clubs for a profit.
Billy Sharp went to Sheffield United, Andy Keogh to Wolves and during the summer Martin Paterson moved to Burnley for £1.3m.
But Wharton has revealed that the proposed move away from Glanford Park is now unlikely because of the current economic climate.
"The chance is still there but it's gone back a long, long way away. I can't see this recession ending for four or five years so we can't even start thinking about it until then.
"We will certainly making sure Glanford Park is looked after because I think we'll be here for quite a long time."

Iron receive Hooper injury boost Fears that Scunthorpe United striker Gary Hooper could be out for six months with a broken foot have eased.
X-rays have revealed no break after their top scorer picked up the injury during the 3-0 defeat at Oldham.
Iron manager Nigel Adkins told Radio Humberside: "It's just badly bruised so we'll treat that accordingly but the big thing is there's no break.
"The worry was he could be out for up to 27 weeks but he's touch and go for Saturday's game against Swindon."
Hooper has led the line brilliantly this season for Scunthorpe and his nine goals have taken them to the top in the League One table.
Adkins added: "Gary is a big player for us so the fact he's not got anything broken is good news."

Chief executive Jamie Hammond said: "I spoke to my counterpart and they wanted to know why they'd been ejected with a view to taking action."
United hope there will be no repeat of the problems when they host Rochdale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Iron still keen on signing Novak Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins is still keen to sign 20-year-old Gateshead striker Lee Novak despite being knocked back twice.
The Iron have had two improved bids rejected by the Conference North outfit but Adkins has not given up hope.
He told Radio Humberside: "We will be speaking to Gateshead again. They've got their mind set on what they want for the player.
"We have to be careful that a rough-cut diamond is at the right price range."
Scunthorpe have a recent track record of finding and developing young strikers and have cashed in on Andy Keogh (to Wolves), Billy Sharp (to Sheffield United) and Martin Paterson (to Burnley) and they are keen to give Kovak an opportunity to play League football.
"Other clubs, we are aware, have been alerted and we'll just have to see where the situation goes," Adkins added.
"We can't allow the transfer fee to go into the range of where we could get a ready-made player who's scored the goals in League One, Two or even the Championship."
