Scarborough 2-7 Grays

Poole then lobbed in from 25 yards, David McNiven drilled in for the hosts before McLean swept home his second. Simon Weaver's header made it 4-2, but Poole slotted home before Kightly completed his hat-trick with a rising shot and then a close-range finish. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scarborough: Dunbavin, Foot, Weaver, Atkinson, Blunt (Coulson 67), Redfearn (Beadle 78), Ingram (McClare 65), Fowler, Pounder, Hackworth, McNiven. Scarborough 1-2 Cambridge
Robert Wolleaston's double leaves Boro facing possible relegation unless they win their final match at Exeter. Boro's player-manager Neil Redfearn opened the scoring after 35 minutes when he directed a left-footed shot into the bottom right-hand corner. Cambridge hit back with Wolleaston firing home on the stroke of half-time and then netting again on 73 minutes. Seasiders to exit administration
Scarborough expect to come out of administration early next month as they fight to stay in the Conference. "We are on course to exit administration," confirmed chairman Malcolm Reynolds. "We should achieve that by the middle of next week, and certainly by the deadline set by the Conference." The struggling Seasiders have been told by the Conference they must by out of administration by the end of May to avoid being relegated.

Redfearn honest after relegation
Scarborough player-boss Neil Redfearn was honest about his side's season after a 1-1 draw with Exeter meant they were relegated from the Conference. "To get a draw at Exeter is a good results, but it's not about what happened today," he explained. "We were always playing catch-up, and left ourselves too much to do. "I thanked the players at the end for the effort they have given me, but I told them they were a bit short. I had to be honest with them." Boro began the day second from bottom, but were sunk after Forest Green marked their final game at The Lawn with an impressive 2-0 win over Stevenage - who missed out on the play-offs. A large contingent of Seasiders supporters had travelled to Devon, and Redfearn added: "The fans were great. "Bit I have been in football for a long time, and I know what is required to get to the top and stay there, and it's hard. "Whatever decisions are now made must be in the best interests of the football club."

Scarborough must give assurances
Scarborough officials must give assurances about state of the club if they are to have a chance of preserving their Conference top-flight status. The Seasiders announced last week that they had exited administration in a bid to meet Conference rules. But the Conference and FA want answers regarding their financial position and their plans for a proposed new ground. "They have to convince us they are in a position to retain their membership," a Conference spokesman told Sir Stanley

Board to make Scarborough verdict
The Conference board will meet on Friday to determine Scarborough's fate. Scarborough have been asked to provide the Football Association and the Conference with information on ground, financial and ownership issues. That will then be considered by the Conference board before the make-up of next season's league is rubber-stamped at the Conference AGM on Saturday. Scarborough are confident they can give the guarantees sought by the Conference and earn a reprieve from relegation.

Ingram snubs Halifax & Southport
Halifax and Southport are both facing disappointment in their bid to sign Scarborough defender Denny Ingram. Ingram, 30, had been a target for both clubs after handing in a transfer request but has now decided to stay with the Conference North club. Boro boss Mark Patterson told the Scarborough Evening News: \"The matter regarding his transfer is now dead. \"Halifax wanted him but couldn't afford him. Southport wanted him but he didn't want to travel there.\" Patterson added: \"I am delighted that he is still here with us.\"
