R's set to join race for Addicks ace
QPR are among a number of Championship clubs reportedly looking to sign Charlton defender Ben Thatcher at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old former Manchester City stopper is out of contract at the Valley this summer and it appears that boss Alan Pardew will be willing to let him leave on a free transfer following the Addicks' failure to secure a play-off place.
Thatcher has struggled for first-team action at Charlton, but his vast experience has resulted in interest from several parties who would like to snap him up on a Bosman free transfer.
If R's boss Luigi Di Canio wants to sign Thatcher he will almost certainly face competition from London rivals Crystal Palace, who could offer Premier League football if they can win the end-of-season play-offs, while Southampton are the other team thought to be interested.
