R's miss out on midfielder
QPR have missed out on the signing of Stoke midfielder Karl Henry who is poised to join Wolves for £175,000.
Stoke were keen to get the midfielder tied down to a new deal but after the player turned down the offers on the table, the Potters have decided to let him move on.
Wolves will pay an initial £100,000 for the player but that could rise to £175,000 depending on appearances.
Potters boss Tony Pulis is gutted to lose the player but says he was powerless after Henry made it clear he wanted to leave the Britannia Stadium for pastures new.
\"I was dead keen to get Karl to sign a new deal because he is a smashing lad with a lot of potential still,\" Pulis told the Stoke Sentinel. \"But this is a dream move for him and we couldn't stand in his way.\"
QPR had a bid turned down for the player last season and it is though R's boss Gary Waddock was keen to get him on board
