R's emerge as Garvan contenders
The race for Ipswich midfielder Owen Garvan is hotting up, with QPR boss Jim Magilton reportedly entering the race for his services.
It is widely known that a host of Championship clubs are interested in the Republic of Ireland under 21 skipper, including Cardiff, Scunthorpe and Nottingham Forest.
Former Ipswich boss Joe Royale once described Garvan as a "Steven Gerrard in the Making" and it remains something of a mystery around Portman Road amongst Town fans why current boss Roy Keane seems to be ready to let Garvan go.
The midfielder has not featured in the Ipswich first team since being subbed at half time during Ipswich's 2-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion earlier this season and his days at the club seem numbered.
Keane has said that Garvan "needs to do more" and looks set to let the midfielder go, though as yet it is unclear whether the Town manager would prefer a permanent deal or a loan.
One thing is clear though, it seems highly unlikely that Garvan will be with the Tractor Boys come the end of January.
