Roy Hodgson Wants Taarabt And Zaha At West Brom
West Brom manager Roy Hodgson wants to bring in Championship players Adel Taarabt and Wilfred Zaha to the Hawthorns at the end of the season. The Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace stars have been identified as the right players to improve the squad by the former Fulham and Liverpool manager. The Daily Mail reports that Roy Hodgson went to see both targets in person on Saturday at Loftus Road when they played against each other in a 2-1 win by Queens Park Rangers over Crystal Palace. Adel Taarabt has played a big part in QPR’s bid for promotion this season while Zaha has been one of the few good players in a disappointing season for Crystal Palace. Queens Park Rangers sit at the top of the table with 73 points while Crystal Palace are 4th from bottom with 38 points. But QPR manager Neil Warnock is determined to keep hold of Taarabt as he will be key to their efforts if they do win promotion to the Premier League. Meanwhile Newcastle are thought to be interested in signing the Moroccan midfielder who has scored 15 goals this season. Zaha has been watched several by Liverpool and is thought to be a good prospect for the future. Both players would cost West Brom a total of around £8 million although a move may depend on how West Brom perform in the league this season as they are only one point above the relegation zone.
