Rowlands to miss cup tie
Captain Martin Rowlands is out of QPR's Carling Cup first-round trip to Exeter.
The midfielder, who is only just back following a knee problem, suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Blackpool.
The latest injury is not serious but Rowlands will not be available at St James Park.
Winger Lee Cook is still missing with a knee injury while checks will be made on midfielder Mikele Leigertwood and £3.5million summer signing Alejandro Faurlin (both thigh).
Hungary international Akos Buzsaky got a brief run-out as a substitute on Saturday as he recovers from a thigh problem and he could be in line for a first start of the season against the League One Grecians.
