Roma legend Tommasi checks in at QPR
Former AS Roma midfielder Damiano Tommasi has arrived in London to begin his one-year contract with Queens Park Rangers.
Tommasi spent 10 year in the Italian capital and became a Roma icon, winning a total of 25 caps.
After a serious injury in 2004, Tommasi defied the odds and returned to the Italian top flight.
Now aged 34, he has signed for QPR after being released by Spanish side Levante, where he spent the past two seasons.
"The signing of Damiano adds great experience to the team," said coach Iain Dowie.
"He has played at the highest level and a player of his calibre can only be beneficial for QPR."
