Roeder not interested in Tavano
Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder has ruled out a move for Empoli striker Francesco Tavano.
\"It's not true, we're not even aware of the player,\" said Roeder, of the £7m-rated Italian.
Newcastle want to bolster their forward line after Alan Shearer's retirement and Michael Owen's cruciate ligament injury, which means a lengthy lay-off.
Roeder has also been linked with moves for West Ham's Marlon Harewood and Dirk Kuyt of Feyenoord.
