Real get Diarra as AC eye Ronaldo
AC Milan are set to begin talks over the signing of Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Ronaldo on Wednesday.
Real president Ramon Calderon says he does not want to sell the 30-year-old but could be interested in a deal if Milan offer Kaka in exchange.
Calderon said: \"We don't want to get rid of him but we are prepared to negotiate. We don't want money.\"
Real completed their capture of Lyon's Mali international midfielder Mahamadou Diarra, 25, earlier on Tuesday.
The fee for Diarra, who had been linked with a summer move to Manchester United, was not disclosed but is believed to be in the region of £17m.
His move had been delayed by arguments between Real and Lyon over who would pay compensation to his former clubs Bamako, OFI Crete and Vitesse Arnhem for their role in his development.
Diarra becomes Real's fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
But it appears Ronaldo could be set to leave the Bernabeu.
\"I know Milan have already talked to the player and I don't think that is right but we are still prepared to receive representatives from any friendly club,\" Calderon added.
\"Ronaldo told me before that he wants to stay and finish his contract here, but we'll have to see what happens.\"
Ronaldo is unavailable for Real's first match of the season against Villarreal on Sunday because he is recovering from knee surgery he had after the World Cup.
