Rangers to bid again for Watson
Hoops are poised to make a new bid for Crystal Palace's Ben Watson.
Hoops have been leading the chase for Watson all summer as Rangers boss Iain Dowie looks to be reunited with the highly-rated midfielder.
Palace rejected QPR's first bid in the region of £1.25million for Watson, but they are now resigned to losing the 23-year-old with the player turning down the offer of a new deal at Selhurst Park.
Birmingham are also interested in signing Watson, but QPR are hoping to steal a march on their Championship rivals by making a new improved bid for the former England Under 21 international.
Rangers are hoping their new bid will be accepted by Palace as they look to finalise their squad ahead of the start of the season.
