QPR have reached an agreement with Australian side Perth Glory for the transfer of Nick Ward for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year old attacking midfielder is expected to to put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Loftus Road. Ward made 21 appearances for Hyundai A-League side Perth Glory last season, bagging five goals, and has represented his country at all levels, only just missing out on a spot in the Socceroos World Cup squad. continued... Meanwhile, Gary Waddock was officially named the new manager at QPR. Waddock had been working as the caretaker boss at the club after former number one Ian Holloway was placed on gardening leave in February. Holloway has now been appointed Plymouth Argyle's new manager, allowing Waddock to take the full-time job at Loftus Road officially He said: \"I am delighted that Queens Park Rangers have finally been able to officially announce my position as first-team manager. \"I've got a great backroom staff and we've been planning the coming season all summer. \"The work ethic and training methods will be subjected to a complete overhaul and we're looking forward to seeing the results on the pitch.\" Rangers visit Conference outfit Aldershot Town on Saturday in their first pre-season friendly.
