Rangers reject reports over duo
Boss Ian Holloway insists Queens Park Rangers are not trying to sign released Sunderland striker Marcus Stewart, 32. "As far as I am aware, the player is going to sign for Bristol City," Holloway told Rangers' website. "I'm not sure why they would want to suggest that we are chasing him. We are looking at players, but he isn't one." Meanwhile, chief executive Mark Devlin has rejected reports that Scunthorpe had turned down a £300,000 bid from the Londoners for defender Andy Butler, 21. "We made an enquity and Scunthorpe provided us with their valuation for the player," he explained. "This is much more than we are prepared to pay and as far as we are concerned, that is an end to the matter. "No fee was discussed, and suggestions of a £300,000 bid are simply not true."
