Rangers preparing £2m City raid
Hoops are reportedly ready to make a £2million move for unsettled Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson. The 20-year-old's future at Eastlands remains in doubt following the recent big-money arrivals at the club and it's thought boss Mark Hughes is happy to let the youngster leave if he secures a decent return for him. Reports on Thursday indicate Championship side Rangers are preparing a £2million raid for the Englishman, who burst on the scene last season and looked like having a great future in the game. He has been linked with several other Premier League clubs throughout the transfer window, particularly Fulham, but as yet there have been no firm bids. Johnson has had to bide his time on the fringes of Hughes' first-team squad after recovering from injury earlier in the campaign.

as a 19 year old he was valued at £15mill so to drop to £2mill in a year is puzzling to say the least :yikes: .he is a top player but would he drop a league ?.i personally think he would to get first team football, because the way city are going the younger players won't get a look in.while were at it put in a cheeky bid for ched evans as well.
