RANGERS MISSED OUT ON LARSEN
QPR's disappointment at missing out on Tore Andre Flo has been added to with the news that the striker's Norwegian international team-mate Tommy Larsen would have followed him to Loftus Road.
Rangers made an audacious attempt to sign the former Sunderland, Rangers and Chelsea frontman only for Flo to decide his future lay in his homeland when he joined Valerenga last week.
Larsen has also now decided on a move back to Norway with Odd Grenland, but admitted that a switch to join Ian Holloway's men did interest him.
Larsen told Norwegian news agency NTB: "I could have ended up at QPR with Tore Andre Flo. But when he rejected it, it did not happen. QPR would have been an exciting challenge."
RANGERS TOO STRONG FOR SANT ANTONI
QPR proved far too strong for their local opposition as they eased to a place in the Copa de Ibiza final with a 5-0 win over Sant Antoni.
Rangers raced into a three-goal lead by half-time thanks to goals from Martin Rowlands, Paul Furlong and Marc Bircham, an advantage that allowed boss Ian Holloway to make wholesale changes in the second period and look at some of the newer members of his squad.
Gareth Ainsworth and Stefan Moore completed the scoring and Rangers will now await the victors of the clash between Coventry and Huddersfield in the final on Thursday.
