RANGERS LOSE OUT ON WISE MOVE
QPR look set to miss out on signing veteran midfielder Dennis Wise as the former Millwall player-manager closes in on a move to Southampton.
The former Chelsea captain was set to sign for his boyhood idols on a one-year deal after quitting the Lions, and held talks at Loftus Road last month.
However, Saints boss Harry Redknapp now appears to have hijacked the deal with the club able to offer an attractive package to entice Wise to St Mary's.
"I've not heard anymore on Dennis, but I'm hoping we can do it. The chairman is dealing with him and his agent and I'm just hoping it goes through okay," Redknapp told the club's official website.
