Rangers chase Italian legend
QPR are thought to be interested in bringing in Italian defender Fabio Cannavro as the World Cup winner puts his retirement on hold.
The 37-year-old was recently released by Dubai-based outfit Al-Ahli and there had been suggestions he would walk away from playing in order to take up a coaching role back in Italy.
However, Cannavaro has rubbished rumours he is set to hang up his boots just yet amid speculation he has been courted by a number of English clubs.
One of those sides supposedly interested are QPR, with manager Neil Warnock thought to be keen to make a marquee signing to mark their return to the Premier League.
With no transfer fee needed to sign the former Real Madrid and Juventus star, the only stumbling block could be the Italian's wage demands, although Rangers will have been encouraged by Cannavaro's desire to play on.
"I have not yet decided when I will retire," he said when pressed on his future.
