QPR's Ward attracting Italian interest
Sir Stanley reports that several sides are trailing QPR new boy Nick Ward.
Rangers pulled off something of a coup by luring Ward from Perth Glory to Loftus Road earlier this summer.
A couple of Italian sides and some Premiership clubs are believed to be keeping a watching brief on the former Australian Young Player of the Year.
The talented Australian has quickly adapted to English football and he scored his first goal for QPR in last weekend's win over Southend.
QPR's Ward star attraction for Friday night clash
QPR midfielder Nick Ward is the star attraction tonight ahead of their Championship clash with Ipswich.
The Aussie youngster was linked with Fulham yesterday and is already catching the eye of Premiership managers. He is on stand-by for the Socceroos' Asian Cup qualifier against Kuwait.
Midfielder Ward, 21, said: \"Being a regular starter in the team at QPR has helped - but I'd have much preferred to have been named in the full squad.
\"I'd love to play with some of the bigger names like Everton's Tim Cahill and Mark Viduka at Middlesbrough because you can learn a lot from them.
\"We can turn Loftus Road into a bit of a fortress because the crowd are great when they get behind you.
\"It's a nice tight ground and it's a difficult place for teams to come to, so I think we can have a really good year.\"
