QPR expect top scorer Paul Furlong to return following a hamstring problem.
Martin Rowlands and Marc Bircham are also hoping to play, while Tony Thorpe is in the Rangers squad having completed a loan spell at Rotherham.
Goalkeeper Paul Gerrard is expected to return for Forest while left-back Alan Rogers (knee) is back to full fitness.
Matthieu Louis-Jean (calf) could also come into the reckoning, but John Curtis, David Friio (both calf) and Eoin Jess are still doubtful.
