Tommy Williams, back at Loftus Road for a third loan spell, is hoping to get the nod ahead of former Coventry defender Gary Borrowdale.
Coventry's Ben Turner (ankle) and Marcus Hall (calf) are sidelined, along with Sammy Clingan (broken toe).
But Isaac Osbourne (knee) is available and Jordan Clarke has served a ban.
