QPR v Bolton
Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers could hand out as many as five debuts for Saturday’s home game with Bolton Wanderers. Manager Neil Warnock leads the Hoops into the top flight for the first time in 15 years and could start with DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd in attack, after the duo arrived from Blackpool and Cardiff City respectively in the summer. Fellow strikers Rob Hulse (knee) and Jamie Mackie (recovering from a broken leg) are unavailable, but Adel Taarabt has stayed with the club and should be the focal point from the flank as last year’s Championship champions aim to get off to the best possible start. Warnock’s other new signings Danny Gabbidon, Bruno Perone and Kieron Dyer are all poised for debuts at Loftus Road, though Paddy Kenny will hold off competition from new goalkeeper Brian Murphy to start between the sticks. Bolton confirmed the signing of Turkey forward Tuncay Sanli on Friday, but the former Middlesbrough and Stoke man has not yet been granted a work permit so will have to watch on from the stands. Fellow new signings Nigel Reo-Coker and Chris Eagles could make their bows in the Bolton midfield, but full back Tyrone Mears – who came from Burnley with Eagles – has a broken leg, as does South Korean winger Lee Chung-yong.
