QPR readying £200K Saints swoop
Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis is being linked with a January move to Loftus Road.
The experienced 32-year-old is approaching the end of his Saints deal and financial problems on the South Coast mean a new contract offer is unlikely.
Davis would provide cover and competition for Radek Cerny, who starred in the R's excellent 2-0 win at Derby on Saturday, a result marred only by a serious injury blow.
Boss Paulo Sousa said afterwards: "I want to dedicate this victory to Martin Rowlands (substituted after 12 minutes).
"He always wants to win, he is a fighter, our captain and our leader.
"We could have lost him for the season. We think there is a problem in one of his knees, we will know more later.
"We showed a lot of personality to come here and control the game. We played so well and I am delighted to get my first away win as QPR boss."
