QPR on verge of signing three new players
QPR are hoping to sign Jason Puncheon from Southampton, DJ Campbell from Blackpool and Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha all before they kick off their maiden Premier League campaign against Bolton in ten days time. The Hoops have already brought in ex-West Ham duo Keiron Dyer and Danny Gabiddon as well as Jay Bothroyd but manager Neil Warnock wants to continue to strengthen his squad. Speaking to Sky Sports News, QPR boss Warnock said: "Well we're talking to a number. We're hoping to bring in two, maybe three players in in the next week before the start of the season. "We've gone slowly about our job but I think we've got some good players in and we're looking to bring two or three other good players in. "We haven't gone silly and signed them straight away but we've been working hard behind the scenes. "So it's very encouraging and the way we've been playing in Italy was very good against different types of opponents but you're going to get that in the Premier League, there's something different every week isn't there so I'm sure we can ruffle a few feathers." He added: "In fairness I think I've got three very good players and if we can get the two or three on top of that, then I think we finish the business just at the right time before that first game of the season."
