QPR have formally lodged an appeal to the Football Association following Mikele Leigertwood's sending off against Birmingham City on Tuesday night.
The 26 year-old was giving his marching orders on the stroke of half-time for a challenge on Blues skipper Lee Carsley, as ten-man Rangers claimed a memorable 1-0 victory.
Speaking after the win, R's Caretaker Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "I thought it was a very harsh decision."
