QPR could be Chelsea, claims Leicester boss Holloway..erm no
Ian Holloway last night warned that his former club QPR could become the 'Chelsea of the Championship'.
The Leicester City boss fears January transfer plans by rival clubs could be blown by the new Loftus Road owners.
QPR are gearing up for a New Year spree after Lakshmi Mittal, the world's fifth richest man and worth a reported £50billion, bought a 20 per cent stake in the club.
Holloway, manager of the London club for five years, said: "If you are not careful, QPR will saturate the market by offering for everybody. If they get another multi-billionaire in there, they might be the next Chelsea."
Holloway, whose team are at Wolves this evening, has the cash backing of Milan Mandaric and is looking at three foreign players who are on trial.
He said: "I need to bring in players who want to be here, who can keep the ball and pass it and who are not down in the dumps."
