QPR and Ipswich set to go for Ward
QPR and Ipswich are ready to make a £500,000 bid for Chesterfield striker Jamie Ward after the player's move to Barnsley fell through. Barnsley called off the transfer last week after talks over personal terms broke down.But Ward, who has scored 16 goals this season, could still be in for a move to the Championship with another two clubs ready to swoop.
Under-fire Ipswich boss Jim Magilton is desperate to improve his forward options with the pressure building at Portman Road, while QPR are also keen on the former Aston Villa trainee.
