Hoops have offered professional contracts to six of their youth-team graduates.
Danny McGuire, Romone Rose, Matt O'Brien, Reece Crowther, Josh Ford and Chris Arthur have all been retained by the west London club.
Youth-team boss Steve Brown also had to tell Lee Brown, Billy Coyne, Aaron Morgan-Cummings, James Folkes and Chris Goodchild they will not be offered deals.
"Unfortunately some of them fall short," said Brown.
"That doesn't mean they're not going to bounce back, but QPR is a Championship club with aspirations of getting into the Premier League very shortly. As such, the selection process is very rigid."
