Manager Paul Sturrock is monitoring the fitness of an unnamed player before announcing his Plymouth line-up.
He has confirmed Krisztian Timar is fit after a grazed forehead at Birmingham, with Emile Mpenza (hamstring) and Karl Duguid (calf) definitely absent.
Rangers duo Matthew Connolly and Dexter Blackstock were due to train on Friday and may feature after back problems.
Emmanuel Ledesma also missed out in midweek and is struggling, with Rowan Vine and Akos Buzsaky still sidelined.
