Palermo v Newcastle
Goalkeeper Tim Krul could make his Newcastle debut in Thursday's Uefa Cup group match at Palermo if Steve Harper fails a late fitness test.
The Magpies are already without several first-team regulars with Stephen Carr, Celestine Babayaro, Scott Parker and Damien Duff out with minor injuries.
Spanish forward Albert Luque will start up front following injuries to Shola Ameobi and Obafemi Martins.
In addition to Krul, several other young players could make their debuts.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder:
\"It will be a typical Italian crowd with fireworks, rockets and the whole lot.
\"It's a match for the brave. We'll have some young players out there and we can only hope that they grow into men.
\"We have obviously had Palermo watched and they play a high tempo game. They score a lot of goals and they concede a lot, so you have always got a chance.\"
