Other Non leagueKettering boss Kevin Wilson wants to draw a line under the turbulent reign of Paul Gascoigne at Rockingham Road.
Wilson was reinstated as manager and signed a three-year deal after Gascoigne was sacked on Monday following a 39-day spell in charge.
"This last 48 hours has been very difficult, and what has gone on has been disappointing," said Wilson.
"It'll be good to get back to reality, away from all the cameras, and I hope I can carry on from where I left off."
Following Gascoigne's arrival, Wilson was offered the role of director of football, but decided to leave after two years at the helm.
Wilson's first game back in charge was Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Alfreton Town and afterwards he said his first task would be to reinstate his working practices at the club.
"A lot can happen in six weeks - it actually seems more than that - players try to do things differently and it's not been easy for them," he said.
"Last night's game was too early for me to do things how I want to do them, and no disrespect to Paul Gascoigne and (former assistant) Paul Davis.
"I like to be disciplined, I like to be organised and my players to know what to expect, both individually and collectively, and if they don't do it then they know what's going to happen.
"I just want us to get back to playing good football, but also winning football."
Following his exit, Gascoigne initially threatened to buy the club and reinstall himself as manager but later appeared to accept his position.
"It's good that Paul came out and wished us well," he said.
"I've never had any problems with him, and I wish him all the best too, but now I have to draw a line under it."

Gascoigne receives offers of help
The Professional Footballers' Association has offered to help Paul Gascoigne and the Football Association also seems ready to come to his aid.
Gascoigne, 38, was sacked as Kettering manager after just 39 days for alleged drinking problems and later arrested for an alleged assault in Liverpool.
The FA is understood to be considering helping ex-England star Gascoigne earn his coaching badges.
And PFA chief Gordon Taylor said: "If he has problems he can come to us."
He added: "But it is down to the person themselves. You can only really provide help when it is asked for.
"I have a high regard for Paul. He is a loveable character.
"He has been under a very big spotlight throughout his career and of course he has had well documented problems off the field.
"We have provided a support system in the past for him to come to when he has needed it."

Peterborough sign Opara on loan
Peterborough signed 22-year-old striker Lloyd Opara on loan from Southern Premier Division side Cheshunt until the end of the season.
Opara had previously spent time on trial at Premiership side Chelsea.
"We've been trying to bring Lloyd to the club for a while and I am pleased to have signed him," Posh boss Steve Bleasdale told the club's website.
"He will give us another option in attack, he is very quick and loves to get in behind the defence."
The loan deal has been agreed with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

Fleet defender makes Margate move
Gravesend defender Lee Protheroe has joined Ryman League side Margate on loan until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old, who also plays in midfield, has not been in Fleet's first-team since early January.
Protheroe has started 43 Conference games for Gravesend since joining the Kent club from Canvey Island in May 2004 following an earlier loan spell.
Meanwhile, Danny Glozier has returned to Gravesend after reaching the end of his loan spell at Tonbridge Angels.

Vines is named Basingstoke boss
Conference South side Basingstoke Town have appointed Francis Vines as their new manager.
The former Crawley Town boss replaces Ernie Howe, who resigned after a run of seven league games without a win.
He lost his job at Crawley last October following a previously successful stint at the Broadfield Stadium.
The former Red Devils striker led Crawley into the Conference in 2004 and secured a mid-table finish in the club's first season at that level.

The decision was taken at a specially convened meeting held after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Windsor & Eton in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Margate are now seeking to appoint a caretaker manager.

Hawks are docked points and fined
Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville have been docked three points after being found to have brought the competition into disrepute.
It follows a second hearing into a complaint by leaders Weymouth, after the Hawks fielded midfielder Tony Taggart in their game on 7 January.
Weymouth claimed Havant had agreed not to play Taggart in that game after he moved between the clubs in December.
Havant, who are considering whether to appeal, have also been fined £1,000.
The Conference had originally ruled in January that the match - which resulted in a 2-1 win for Havant - should be replayed, but the Football Association found problems with the way the first hearing had been conducted.
"Straight after the FA's decision we offered the Conference the possibility of replaying the game as originally intended, for the good of football, but they turned us down a week ago," Hawks secretary Trevor Brock told his club's website.
"The irony is that this decision will hurt Weymouth too because I'm sure they'd have liked the chance to win the points.
"I can't see who gains anything from a decision like this."

Keeper Scarsella leaves Barnsley
Barnsley goalkeeper David Scarsella has left the club with immediate effect after his contract was terminated.
Scarsella has spent the last few months on loan with Ryman League side Tooting and Mitcham.
The 23-year-old Australian joined the Reds after a successful trial during the summer of 2004.
Scarsella had previously played for Adelaide City in his native country but failed to make the breakthrough into the first-team at Oakwell

Kinnear not returning to Margate
Margate chairman Keith Piper has told Sir Stanley that Chris Kinnear will not return to the club as manager.
Supporters of the Ryman Premier side have started a petition in an attempt to have Kinnear reinstated but Piper says that will not happen.
Piper told Sir Stanley: "It's not recoverable. We've got to move on and to start looking forward again."
Defender Robin Trott has been put in charge of first-team affairs until the end of the season.
Kinnear and assistant Kevin Raine were suspended with immediate effect after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Windsor & Eton in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Flint wall blocking stadium plans
A football club must find a different solution for its stadium redevelopment after plans to demolish part of a historic flint wall were turned down.
English Heritage's "strong opposition" led to the proposal being rejected by Lewes council's planning committee.
The council's own community services unit suggested the move because it said the flint wall, in Lewes, was unsafe.
It would have been rebuilt with new vehicle and turnstile access for Lewes Football Club.
However, the application was refused planning permission by an 11 to three vote.
It was agreed that a lower replacement wall would harm the character and appearance of the area around the flint wall in Ham Lane.
Conservationists and historians have argued it should be preserved as it is believed to trace the outer perimeter of the old Cluniac Priory of St Pancras in Lewes.
Lewes Football Club wanted the partial demolition to go ahead because it needs to redevelop its Dripping Pan ground to ensure it meets Conference South league standards.
Lewes District Council has been trying to find "an acceptable community solution" because the wall has no known owner.
It said a replacement wall was "just one approach" and alternative arrangements were being worked on.
Lewes FC's managing director, Martin Elliott, said: "We are disappointed but not surprised at the planning committee's decision.
"We continue to work closely with the council and the other concerned parties to find a long-term solution."

Conference concern over clearance
The Conference admits that it is "concerned" with the issue of international clearance following its decision to dock Altrincham 18 points.
Altrincham lost all the points accrued from games in which James Robinson played earlier this season.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined Altrincham from Accrington, had not received international following an earlier spell playing in Iceland, and was therefore ineligible to play.
The Conference board found that Altrincham had breached rule 6.8 of the Conference rules, and as well as the points deduction fined Altrincham £1,000.
The Football Conference is concerned with the current operation of the system of international clearance, which is beyond its control
A statement from the Conference read: "Whilst the Board accepted there were mitigating circumstances, based on legal advice, it was compelled by Rule 6.8 to deduct points gained, resulting in the deduction of 18 points.
"The Football Conference is concerned with the current operation of the system of international clearance, which is beyond its control, and the impact that it has on its clubs.
"It is anticipated that Altrincham will exercise its right to appeal to the FA."
Altrincham manager/secretary Graham Heathcote has maintained that his club acted in an honest and above board manner, and remains confident of the outcome of an appeal to the Football Association.
As it stands, the points deduction has sent Altrincham to the bottom of the Conference table and left them facing an immediate return to Conference North.
Supporters from a number of rival clubs have begun campaigning on Altrincham's behalf following the largest points deduction handed out by the Conference.

Weymouth and Northwich promotedNorthwich Victoria and Weymouth are due to play in the Conference National next season after both secured top spot in Conference North and South.
However, Weymouth's promotion may be subject to a possible investigation into an alleged ineligible player row.
Midfielder Soloman Taiwo played two games for the Terras in the autumn, in which they collected four points.
It has been claimed he did not have international clearance when he joined Maidenhead, before joining Weymouth.
However, the Conference are yet to rule on the matter.
Northwich beat their nearest rivals Stafford Rangers 3-1 to clinch the title in Conference North.
Weymouth made sure of top spot in Conference South after winning 2-0 at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday.
A second team will be promoted from each regional division after the teams finishing second, third, fourth and fifth take part in a play-off.
Stafford and Nuneaton have already booked their places in the Conference North play-offs, while St Albans, Farnborough and Lewes will definitely finish in the top five of Conference South
