Oldham 3-0 Brentford
Oldham condemned struggling Brentford to a 10th game without victory. It was one-way traffic after Paul Warne headed in Simon Charlton's cross before Chris Porter then had four great chances to finish off the game. Oldham made no mistake after the restart when Charlton picked out Gary McDonald and the midfielder shot home first time from 12-yards. Oldham v Chesterfield
Oldham have problems in midfield with Craig Rocastle (knee) and Chris Taylor (back) both fitness doubts. Manager John Sheridan must field six of the players who have featured most regularly for the club this season but has hinted at several changes. Chesterfield's Alex Bailey has a hamstring problem and may be absent. While Shane Nicholson (knee), fellow defender Gaz Davies (pelvis) and forward Paul Shaw (knee) and Phil Picken (knee) are all out.

Cheltenham v Oldham
Cheltenham captain John Finnigan is a major doubt after suffering a heel injury last weekend, while Shane Duff is battling to overcome a groin strain. Mickey Bell (calf) could be out for six weeks, but David Bird (hamstring) is expected to be fit to feature. Oldham leading scorer Chris Porter and midfielder Richie Wellens will both return after being rested in midweek. Loan signing Tomasz Cywka hopes to retain his place, but Paul Edwards and Chris Swailes are still injured.

Oldham rocked by Stam injury news
Oldham defender Stefan Stam will be out of action for six to eight weeks because of an ankle injury. The 27-year-old was forced off injured before half-time in their 2-1 victory against Cheltenham and was replaced by Neal Trotman. Stam has ankle ligament damage and will have an MRI scan this week to ascertain the full extent of the problem. The Dutchman signed for the Latics following a successful trial period in the 2003/04 season.

Lomax signs new Oldham contract
Oldham defender Kelvin Lomax has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until February 2007. Lomax's contract was due to expire later this week but boss John Sheridan was keen to retain his services. The 19-year-old has been given his chance in the team in the absence of Neal Eardley and Chris Swailes. Lomax was released by former boss Ronnie Moore but was brought back to the club in August by Sheridan and given an initial three-month deal.

Oldham hoping to loan out quintet
Oldham manager John Sheridan has made five players available for loan. Strikers Matty Barlow, and Matty Wolfenden, defenders Chris Lever and Michael Pearson and midfielder Chris Baguley could leave on loan. The Latics boss is keen for the five players to gain experience at Conference or League Two level. Sheridan told the club website: \"I have explained to the lads that they need to gain some experience at a reasonable level and they are all up for it.

Huddersfield v Oldham
Jon Worthington and Andy Holdsworth will both return to Huddersfield's squad after suspension. Defender Martin McIntosh (groin) is back in contention, as is midfielder Chris Brandon (hamstring). Oldham's Simon Charlton is struggling to shake off a hamstring injury in time to face his hometown club. Fellow defender Neil Eardley (knee) is expected to return to the squad but Moussa Dabo and Paul Edwards are not yet ready for first-team action.

Sheridan urges Latics to push on
Oldham boss John Sheridan warned his players against complacency after they notched up a sixth consecutive victory with a 1-0 home win against Crewe. Sheridan said: \"Perhaps we've been spoilt with the run we've been on but I told the lads this is a brilliant win. \"If we're going anywhere though we can't go to sleep and take our foot off the pedal like we did after the break. \"But we've set the standard now and I'll keep on at the lads even though we're winning,\" he added.

Sheridan honoured in League One
Oldham boss John Sheridan has been named as League One's manager of the month for November. The Latics won all three of their league games during the month, beating Cheltenham, Bradford and Huddersfield. Having beaten Kettering and King's Lynn in the FA Cup, and Crewe in their first league game in December, Sheridan's men have now won their last six matches. The other contenders were Tranmere's Ronnie Moore, Crewe's Dario Gradi and Nottingham Forest's Colin Calderwood.

Oldham v Brighton
Oldham are confident Chris Porter will recover from a knee injury in time to play but Richie Wellens is suspended. Paul Edwards is back after a thigh strain and he will be vying for a starting place with Craig Rocastle and on-loan Polish teenager Tomasz Cwyka. Brighton welcome on-loan Ipswich forward Dean Bowditch back after a groin injury, while centre-half Adam Hinshelwood faces a late fitness test. Guy Butters and Richard Carpenter are fit again but Gary Hart is suspended.

Rotherham 2-3 Oldham
Rotherham slipped back into the bottom four as in-form Oldham claimed the win. Chris Porter headed in his 15th goal in just 20 appearances to give Oldham the lead, with Will Haining extending the visitors' lead with another header. Eugen Bopp revived Rotherham's hopes when he volleyed into the ground on 54 minutes, with the ball bouncing up and over Oldham keeper Les Pogliacomi. Oldham v Nottingham Forest
Oldham boss John Sheridan is likely to name an unchanged side for the game against fellow high-fliers Forest. That means Dutchman Stefan Stam will have to wait to break into the side ahead of Will Haining or Sean Gregan. Nottingham Forest will be without of Kris Commons, who is believed to have a hamstring strain. Defender Wes Morgan could come into contention after returning from illness to make the substitute's bench against Rovers on Saturday.

Halifax snap up Trotman on loan
Halifax Town have signed defender Neal Trotman on loan from Oldham Athletic. Trotman, 20, has joined Town for an initial month with a view to spending the rest of the season with the Conference club. He spent a spell at the Shay during the summer before agreeing a deal with Oldham, where he has made two senior appearances this season. Halifax have made the move after losing Greg Young to injury and ending the loan spell of Crewe's Mark Roberts.

Lomax agrees new Oldham contract
Oldham right-back Kelvin Lomax has signed a new deal to keep him at Boundary Park until the summer of 2008. Lomax, 20, was released by former Latics boss Ronnie Moore at the end of last season but new manager John Sheridan re-signed him in the summer. Initially on non-contract terms, Lomax signed a three-month deal in August which was extended again in November. Sheridan told Oldham's website: "Kelvin has done very well. He's an intelligent footballer - the kind I like."

Latics boosted by Charlton return
Experienced defender Simon Charlton is ready to return from injury to boost Oldham's play-off bid. Charlton has missed the Latics' last five games with ankle ligament damage but the 35-year-old hopes to return to face Crewe on Saturday. He said: "Being injured is always furstrating, and without blowing my own trumpet, I think the team has missed a calming influence at the back. "But I'll be available for selection if the manager thinks I'm fit enough."
