Nottm Forest 0-2 Oldham Oldham striker Chris Porter bagged a brace as League One leaders Nottingham Forest lost their 100% home record.
Oldham dominated proceedings and opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark when Porter tapped in after Paul Smith parried a Gary McDonald effort.
Porter went close again before he doubled the lead, nodding in after Smith misjudged Paul Edwards' cross.
Forest were lacklustre and Grant Holt shot into the side-netting as they were soundly beaten at the City Ground.

Blitz becomes new Oldham chairman Oldham have revealed that Simon Blitz, one of their three co-owners, has replaced Barry Chaytow as chairman.
The move comes because Chaytow is currently putting together a bid to buy the League One club, and wishes to avoid a conflict of interest.
\"I will resign as chairman and a director, but I would hope it to be only a temporary state of affairs,\" Chaytow announced in a statement.
\"If the deal goes through, then I will be back very soon.\"

Defender Trotman pens Oldham deal Oldham boss John Sheridan has handed a new contract to defender Neal Trotman which runs until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old joined the Latics on trial towards the end of last season after he was released by Burnley.
Trotman then earned a three-month contract in the summer which was due to end on 1 October.
However, Sheridan has been impressed by a number of impressive performances for the reserves and he has recently been included in the first-team squad.

Blackpool v Oldham Blackpool are set to name an unchanged squad, with captain Michael Jackson to continue after a groin injury.
But Adrian Forbes is out with a groin injury and is joined by John Murphy (back), Matt Blinkhorn (groin), Phil Doughty (leg) and Simon Wiles (knee).
Oldham must decide whether to play Lewis Grabban or Paul Warne alongside in-form striker Chris Porter.

Blackpool 2-2 Oldham An injury-time equaliser from substitute Andy Morrell won a point for Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
The Seasiders took the lead in strange fashion when Will Haining's clearance bounced off the feet of former Oldham striker Scott Vernon and into the net.
Oldham midfielder Richie Wellens equalised, before Chris Porter headed home to give Oldham the lead.
Blackpool clinched a point in injury time when Morrell scored his first goal for his new club.

Oldham v Rotherham Oldham full-back Simon Charlton is doubtful after he limped out of Saturday's win over Gillingham with a calf injury.
On-loan Middlesbrough goalkeeper David Knight could return to the squad following hip and neck injuries.
Rotherham boss Alan Knill has reported no new injury problems ahead of the trip to Oldham.

Oldham 3-3 Leyton Orient Andy Liddell's last-gasp penalty earned Oldham a dramatic draw and extend their unbeaten run to eight matches.
The O's went ahead with Jabo Ibehre's first goal of the season before Gary Alexander netted to make it 2-0.
But Oldham hit back with a double from top-scorer Chris Porter before Orient went back in front with four minutes to go as Alexander fired home a second.

Eardley out for 'up to six weeks' Oldham defender Neil Eardley has picked up a knee injury in training and could be ruled out of action for six weeks.
The 17-year-old has been a first-team regular since breaking into the senior squad at the start of the season.
Eardley twisted his knee awkwardly during Wednesday's training session and damaged medial ligaments, although he is unlikely to undergo an operation.
An initial scan revealed that the teenager could be on the sidelines for four to six weeks.

Yeovil 1-0 Oldham Captain Terry Skiverton kept Yeovil in second spot after a close encounter.
Paul Warne almost put the visitors ahead with a flick before Chris Cohen twice went close for Yeovil.
The winner arrived on half time when Arron Davies Davies hit a left-wing corner to the near post and Skiverton got down low to head home.
There was little between the two sides in the second half, but Yeovil almost grabbed a second when substitute Wayne Gray's header flew just wide.

Oldham midfielder facing lay-off Oldham midfielder Gary McDonald is facing two to three weeks on the sidelines with a suspected ankle ligament injury.
The 24-year-old Scot limped off early on during the Latics' 1-0 defeat at Yeovil on Saturday.
He was then booked for re-entering the field of play without permission, and eventually substituted on 17 minutes.
Also joining the Latics' injury list is 17-year-old keeper Ryan Smith, who has twisted his knee in training.

Pettinger given trial at Oldham Oldham are giving a trial to former Everton goalkeeper Andrew Pettinger.
Latics boss John Sheridan is set to give the 22-year-old a start in Tuesday night's reserve game against Bolton.
Pettinger left Goodison Park by mutual consent in September 2002 before joining Grimsby three months later and then move into the non-league ranks.
Rovers have already used five keepers at senior and reserve level this season - Les Pogliacomi, Terry Smith, David Knight, Chris Howarth and Ryan Smith.
