Oldham 0-3 Barnsley Barnsley ended a miserable run of seven games without a win by cruising to victory at Oldham to put their play-off hopes back on track.
Chris Shuker was just 12 yards out when he beat keeper Lee Grant with a fierce shot four minutes after the break.
The visitors put the game out of reach when Stephen McPhail tapped into an open net in the 62nd minute.
And Martin Devaney completed the rout 11 minutes from the end when he raced down the left to slot home.

Bristol City 2-1 Oldham A twice-taken penalty from Alex Russell turned a thrilling game into a victory against Oldham at Ashton Gate.
The Latics had gone ahead through a bullet header from Luke Beckett in first-half injury-time.
But Guy Branston was penalised for a handball inside the area after 55 minutes and Russell's first spot-kick was brilliantly saved by Lee Grant.
The referee ordered a re-take and Russell made no mistake. Steve Brooker then headed the winner 71 minutes in.

Oldham v Swansea Oldham midfielder Paul Warne is set to play despite missing training this week after having stitches in a wound.
Guy Branston returns from suspension and will play alongside Will Haining in the centre of defence.
Swansea have lost four of their last five league games and boss Kenny Jackett is expected to make changes.
Darren Way (leg), Izzy Iriekpen (knee) and Steven Watt (shoulder) remain out injured but striker Leon Knight could come in for Rory Fallon.

Oldham 1-1 Swansea A stunning volley from Kris O'Leary moved Swansea back into the play-off spots and hit Oldham's fading hopes.
Both sides lacked ambition in a nervous first half, but in the 60th minute a rash Tom Williams foul on Paul Warne resulted in a Luke Beckett penalty.
A poor clearance from Lee Grant then fell to O'Leary who nailed his 35-yard effort, his first goal of the season.
Oldham dominated the last 20, David Eyres and Beckett hitting the woodwork, Kevin McLeod going close for Swansea.

Stam could make surprise comeback Oldham defender Stefan Stam is pushing for a first-team recall - despite being told last month that he would be ruled out for the rest of the season.
Stam played for an hour in Tuesday's 3-2 reserve defeat by Manchester United in the Manchester Senior Cup.
The Dutchman has struggled with knee and hamstring injuries this season, and has also recently had hernia surgery.
His last first-team outing came against Walsall on 18 February, when he was substituted after 19 minutes.

The winger strode onto Alun Armstrong's superb defence-splitting pass and drilled home low to hand the hosts a deserved victory.

Shrewsbury sign Hall and Drummond League Two Shrewsbury have signed Oldham defender Danny Hall and Chester midfielder Stuart Drummond.

Midfielder Butcher signs for Posh Peterborough have completed the signing of midfielder Richard Butcher on a free transfer from Oldham Athletic.
Butcher previously played under Posh boss Keith Alexander at Lincoln City.
The 25-year-old left Lincoln to join Oldham last June but was loaned back to the Imps for a month during his 12-month stay at Boundary Park.
Oldham, meanwhile, are expected to sign midfielders Craig Rocastle and Paul McLaren from Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham respectively

Pogliacomi ready for new season Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Les Pogliacomi has undergone minor surgery on his damaged knee.
The 31-year-old picked up the injury during pre-season training but is now expected to return in time for Oldham's first game of the season with Tranmere.
Pogliacomi spent the whole of last season on loan at Blackpool and made 20 appearances for the Seasiders.
The Australian keeper signed for Oldham from Parramatta in his homeland in 2002 and has played 141 times.

Branston completes return to Posh Peterborough United have completed the signing of their former loan defender Guy Branston on a two-year contract.
Branston, 27, has had two previous loan spells at London Road but now joins permanently on a free transfer after rejecting a new deal at Oldham.
\"This deal is something we have been trying to do for a while,\" Posh boss Keith Alexander told the club website.
\"I was aware of other clubs in for him, but we continued to talk to him and I am delighted Guy has agreed a deal.\"
Branston was involved in a war of words with Oldham after turning down a new contract at Boundary Park.
He claimed that \"it was the sort of money you would pay a young kid\", while Oldham hit back by saying that his basic salary was \"six times higher\" than some of their young professionals.
The former Leicester trainee has made over 200 league appearances for Colchester, Plymouth, Lincoln, Rotherham, Wycombe, Peterborough, Sheffield Wednesday and Oldham.

Stockport pull off double signing Stockport County manager Jim Gannon has moved into transfer market and boosted his squad with a double signing.
Oldham midfielder Jason Taylor and former Macclesfield goalkeeper Tim Deasy have signed permanent deals with the Edgeley Park club.
Taylor had a loan spell at the club last season and has signed a two-year deal, while Deasy has put pen to paper on a 12-month deal.
Deasy will wear shirt number 22 and Taylor will have number 20.

Latics borrow Howarth and Molango Oldham have signed Bolton keeper Chris Howarth and Brighton striker Maheta Molango, both on a month's loan.
Boss John Sheridan had been searching for cover for Les Pogliacomi since Chris Day left the club for Millwall.
Howarth, 20, has not yet played for Bolton's first team, but had a loan spell at Stockport last season.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Italian Molango has not played a first-team game for Brighton since August 2004, and spent part of last season on loan at Lincoln.
Oldham's recent signing Moussa Dabo has finally received international clearance for his recent move from Racing Club Paris.

Tranmere 1-0 Oldham A first-half goal by Chris Greenacre gave Tranmere all three points against Oldham who had two men sent off.
Greenacre headed into the top corner in the 25th minute after Kevin Ellison headed on Chris Shuker's cross.
Four minutes after the break, Greenacre spurned a chance from 10 yards before home keeper Gavin Ward turned aside an angled header from Maheta Malongo.
Chris Taylor saw red on 88 minutes for fouling Calvin Zola and Neil Eardley followed for kicking the ball at Zola.
