O'Connor not for sale - Lokomotiv
Lokomotiv Moscow say Garry O'Connor is not available for transfer, despite claims that Hearts were close to signing the Scotland striker.
Hearts' majority shareholder, Vladimir Romanov, said that he ran out of time to sign O'Connor before the closure of the transfer window last week.
But Lokomotiv spokesman Aleksandr Udaltsov said: \"Garry is not for sale.
\"Mr Romanov may have been waiting for a phone call. But since Garry is not available then there was no point.\"
O'Connor left Hearts' Edinburgh rivals, Hibernian, for Moscow in a £1.6m transfer in March.
He is the Russian club's joint top scorer this season, but there has been speculation that the striker is homesick.
Udaltsov admitted that there had been contact with Hearts, whose owner is considering renewing his bid when the transfer window re-opens in January.
\"There has been talks about Garry, but he is one of the main players,\" he told the Daily Express.
\"I can't disclose the fee that was being talked about as that is confidential.\"
