Northampton 2-0 Notts County
Northampton got their promotion push back on track thanks to goals from Jason Lee and Josh Low. Town had to play with 10 men for most of the second half after Sean Dyche was sent off just after the break. Northampton took the lead in the 39th minute when Lee raced onto a pass from Dyche to lob Kevin Pilkington. Dyche was red-carded on 50 minutes for a challenge on Scoffham, but Low added a second well into stoppage-time, tucking home Martin Smith's cross. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Northampton: Harper, Chambers, Dyche, Doig, Crowe, Hand, Jess (Low 69), Smith, Johnson, McGleish (Rowson 57), Lee (Bojic 76). Scoffham boosted by scan results
Notts County striker Steve Scoffham did not break his leg in Saturday's loss at Northampton as had first been feared. Scoffham, 22, was taken to hospital for a scan after a challenge from defender Sean Dyche which saw the Cobblers man sent off. The Magpies will wait for the bruising to go before they are able to assess how serious the injury is. Scoffham has already suffered from a broken leg in his career but could now return to action in the next two weeks.

Notts County 1-1 Leyton Orient
Promotion-chasing Leyton Orient were denied all three points by Mike Edwards' header. Wayne Corden put the O's ahead with a superb half-volley when Nathan Doyle could not clear Matt Lockwood's cross. Gary Alexander should have made it 2-0 but he was denied by Notts County keeper Kevin Pilkington. And the Magpies levelled when Chris Palmer's corner was nodded back across goal by Steve Scoffham for Edward to head over the line from close-range. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notts County: Pilkington, Pipe, Edwards, Baudet, Ullathorne, Sheridan (Palmer 64), Crooks, Doyle, Needham, Chillingworth (White 64), Scoffham (Martin 84). Barnet v Notts County
Barnet may have Jason Norville back after a month out with an ankle injury. Defender Simon King completes a two-match ban, while midfielder Richard Graham (knee) and defender Stevland Angus (thigh) remain sidelined. Notts County are waiting on the fitness of midfielder Noe Sissoko, who has been out since February with a groin injury. He has since returned to training, but manager Gudjon Thordarson is unlikely to risk the 22-year-old. County have no other injury problems.

Time is running out for Williams
Notts County striker Matthew Williams, who is on loan at Tamworth, is battling to play again this season. The 23-year-old broke a bone in his foot in February, just after extending his loan spell until late April. However, County's website states that although his rehabilitation is going well, he is unlikely to recover before the end of the Conference season. The Conference season finishes on 22 April, although County's last League Two game is not until 6 May. Williams has made 34 appearances for Notts since joining from Manchester United in March 2004.

Barnet 2-1 Notts County
Defender Ian Hendon scored two second- half penalties as relegation-haunted Barnet came from behind to win. After twice almost going behind, County took the lead when Steve Scoffham was released down the right by David Pipe and slotted the ball into the net. Ben Strevens had a goal ruled out before Barnet levelled from the spot through Hendon on 63 minutes. And Hendon won it from the spot after Mike Edwards had fouled Andy Hessenthaler in the penalty box. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barnet: Flitney, Hendon, Charles, Clist, Warhurst, Bailey, Strevens, Fuller, Vernazza, Hessenthaler (Sinclair 79), Kandol. Paul Harsley's late penalty rescued a deserved point for Macclesfield as Notts County's poor home run continued. The Magpies took the lead when Silkmen keeper Tommy Lee failed to hold Chris Palmer's cross and Mike Edwards headed Julien Baudet's flick over the line. Macclesfield substitute Kevin Townson lifted the visitors and forced two good saves from Shaun Marshall. Townson also drew the foul from Brian O'Callaghan in the box for the penalty that Harsley slotted into the corner. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notts County: Marshall, O'Callaghan, Edwards, Baudet, Martin (McMahon 85), Palmer, Crooks, Doyle, Needham, Pipe, Scoffham (Chillingworth 77). Michael Bridges scored a late winner against Notts County to put Carlisle on the brink of promotion to League One. The Cumbrians started slowly and went behind on 25 minutes when Steve Scoffham lobbed Kieren Westwood after a good throughball from David Pipe. Notts County v Rochdale
Notts County have a doubt over Rob Ullathorne, who has been playing despite having a hamstring strain. Dan Martin is optimistic about overcoming a hamstring problem but Noe Sissoko is out with a groin injury. Rochdale may have Blair Sturrock on the bench after being out for 10 weeks with a rare hip-flexor problem. Boss Steve Parkin has no other problems and could name an unchanged starting line-up with Chris Dagnall partnering Rickie Lambert up front.

Notts County 1-1 Rochdale
Notts County secured their League Two status with a nervous draw at home to visiting Rochdale. County had taken the lead when Dan Martin shot emphatically past Rochdale goalkeeper Matthew Gilks. The home side's skipper Julien Baudet gave away an 81st minute penalty which Rickie Lambert cooly slotted home to pull Rochdale level. But it was Baudet's last-ditch goalline clearance that ensured the scoreline remained all square. Players set to pen Magpies deals
Notts County manager Gudjon Thordarson is close to finalising deals with several of his squad for next season. Only David Pipe and Kevin Pilkington are committed to the Magpies beyond this season with the rest of the squad out of contract in the summer. Thordarson told the club website: "I have more or less agreed terms with four players. "They have taken away the offers and are going to read through them. We hope to complete those deals next week."

Cheltenham v Notts County
Manager John Ward has no fresh injury or suspension problems as Cheltenham look to seal a play-off place. Striker Steven Gillespie may be available after recovering from a hamstring injury while left-back Michael Wylde could return. Notts County manager Gudjon Thordarson County is sweating on the fitness of 34-year-old defender Rob Ullathorne, who has a hamstring problem. Midfielder Noe Sissoko continues to be ruled out with a groin strain.

Cheltenham 2-0 Notts County
Cheltenham clinched a play-off spot and plunged Notts County deep into relegation trouble at Whaddon Road. Steve Guinan's brilliant volley set the Robins on their way for what was ultimately a comfortable win. Victory, though, was not sealed until eight minutes from time when substitute Ashley Vincent raced clear to score. Chris Palmer's volley offered County's sole threat, although their cause was not helped as Lee Crooks was stretchered off with a thigh injury. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cheltenham: Higgs, Gill, Caines, Duff, Armstrong, Melligan (Bird 54), Finnigan, McCann, Wilson, Odejayi (Vincent 77), Guinan (Spencer 71). Thordarson wields axe at County
Notts County boss Gudjon Thordarson has axed seven players at Meadow Lane. Andy White, Chibuzor Chilaka, Brian O'Callaghan, Noe Sissoko, Matty Williams, Stacy Long and Shaun Marshall will all leave the club this summer. White, 25, had been sent out on loan to Kidderminster in January but returned to the Magpies in March. Goalkeeper Marshall made two appearances for County this season, while Long scored two goals in 23 displays for the League Two side.

Notts players could earn reprieve
Notts County chief executive Geoff Davey admits that some players freed by outgoing boss Gudjon Thordarson could still have a future at the club. Thordarson left Meadow Lane by mutual consent last Thursday. "If we have to put negotiations on hold until the new manager is here, we will do that," Davey told County's website. "But if any players who have been released express an interest in wanting to stay, they will have the opportunity of talking to the new manager." The eight players released by Thordarson before his departure were Robert Ullathorne, Stacy Long, Brian O'Callaghan, Shaun Marshall, Noe Sissoko, Matthew Williams, Andy White and Chibuzor Chilaka. Meanwhile, the futures of Steve Scoffham, Lewis McMahon, Julien Baudet, Chris Palmer and Emmet Friars are currently unclear in the absence of a manager. Davey added: "It is my intention to meet with them and listen to what they say, but I think it would be wrong in any situation for a chief executive or a director to agree to sign any player. That has to be the role of the manager."
