Northwich Victoria
Carr begins light training again Northwich Victoria midfielder Michael Carr has returned to light training following a scan on his injured foot. The England non-league international missed much of pre-season with the problem but could play against a Manchester City XI on Wednesday night. \"The results of the scan were good news. It just depends how he gets on with some fittings he has to wear in his boots,\" said boss Steve Burr. Burr is unlikely to sign any more new players before the new season begins.

Northwich v Morecambe
Northwich manager Steve Burr is set to name an unchanged squad for Victoria's first home game of the season. The home side have no injury or suspension worries in the wake of their opening-game win at Cambridge. Morecambe also have no fresh injury worries and will take an unchanged squad to Northwich. But David Perkins' future with the Shrimps is uncertain after the club accepted the midfielder's second transfer request.

Northwich midfielder Stuart Elliot faces a race against time to be fit having suffered a groin strain in the midweek defeat to Morecambe. Jamie McClen missed the midweek draw at Burton with a back injury, a match in which Jeff Kenna was substituted as a precaution so he should start.
